01 / How the win chance is derived

One formula, any target you pick.

The multiplier climbs from 1.00× until a pre-committed crash point is reached — generated before the round starts, the same way a Mines layout or a Plinko drop is committed in advance. The chance the crash point lands at or past your cash-out target m is exactly RTP ÷ m. Pick a bigger target and the chance of getting there before it crashes shrinks to match — that's what keeps every target's long-run edge identical.

Two scope notes: this calculator models one bet per round, though many real platforms let you place two simultaneous bets with separate targets. And real rounds commonly run somewhere in the 8–30 second range depending on how high the crash point lands — this simulator's pace is tuned for a quick demo, not matched to any specific platform's timing.

That −1.00% figure doesn't move if the target changes to 1.5× or 100× — only the win chance and the size of the payout do. The edge is baked into the formula itself, not into any particular target.

Not every "Crash" runs the same edge.

The formula above — RTP ÷ target — is the standard shape almost every crash game uses, but the RTP itself varies. Stake and BC.Game's in-house Crash both cite the crypto-standard ~1% edge; Spribe's Aviator, the most widely-licensed branded crash game, typically runs a noticeably lower ~97% RTP. Same math, different number plugged in.
