01 / What is Mines?

Minesweeper, played for a multiplier.

Mines is a crypto-casino original built on the same idea as the classic Minesweeper puzzle: a 5×5 grid hides a fixed number of mines among 25 tiles, and you reveal them one at a time. Every safe tile you clear pushes the multiplier a little higher; one wrong tile ends the round.

Unlike the puzzle version, there's no logic to deduce — the mine layout is randomly generated and locked in before you click anything, so every reveal is an independent, provably-fair draw. What you're really choosing is how many mines to play against and when to stop.

    More mines means fewer safe tiles and a faster-climbing multiplier — higher risk, higher reward per reveal.

    Start the round

    Your bet is placed and the mine layout is generated. The board is now live — every tile you haven’t clicked is either safe or a mine.

    Reveal tiles, one at a time

    Each safe tile grows your multiplier. The next pick’s odds are shown live, based on exactly how many safe tiles and mines remain.

    Cash out, or push your luck

    Bank the current multiplier any time after your first safe pick — or keep going for a bigger one. Hit a mine and the round ends with nothing.

02 / How the multiplier is derived

Every safe reveal is one fewer safe tile left.

With m mines hidden among 25 tiles, the chance your first k picks are all safe is C(25−m,k) ÷ C(25,k) — choosing k safe tiles out of the 25−m that exist, over all the ways to choose k tiles at all. The fair multiplier is just 1 ÷ that chance; the platform then applies its house edge (0.99 here) on top. Nothing about which tiles you click changes those odds — the mines were fixed, hashed and committed before the round started.

What's the best mine count?

None of them — every configuration carries the same ~1% house edge. Mine count changes your variance (how bumpy the ride is), not your long-run return. See the strategy guide for the trade-off.

Does tile position matter — are corners or edges safer?

No. Mines are placed uniformly at random across all 25 tiles before you click anything. Any tool or "heatmap" claiming otherwise is reading patterns into randomness that aren't there.

Can I win real money on this page?

Why does my result feel different from the stated RTP?
