01 / How the payout is derived

Pick a target, the payout follows automatically.

Every round draws one number from 0.00 up to 100.00, generated before you see it — the same pre-commitment used by Mines' layout and Crash's crash point. Roll under your target and you win; roll over it (in "under" mode) and you don't. Because the draw is uniform, win chance is just the target itself: pick 25 and you win 25% of the time, pick 90 and you win 90% of the time. The payout scales the other way to keep the edge constant: 99 ÷ win chance%.

Two scope notes: real platforms typically allow four-decimal precision and let some accounts adjust the house edge itself within a range — this demo fixes both at a simple 1% edge and two-decimal rolls. And the 3D cube's face is a decorative mapping of which sixth of the 0–100 range the roll landed in, not the mechanic itself — the number and the win/loss call always come from the roll-under/over check above.

That −1.00% figure doesn't move if the target shifts to 5 or 95, or if the mode flips to roll-over — only the win chance and the size of the payout do. The edge is baked into the formula itself, not into any particular target.

Dice shares its ~1% convention with Crash — both are simple, provably-fair formats that crypto casinos tend to price the tightest.
