Where this site's calculator models the common 8/12/16-row, low/medium/high convention, Stake's own Plinko goes further: every row count from 8 through 16 is selectable, and risk comes in four tiers — Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert — for 36 total row/risk combinations.
Choose a bet, a row count and a risk tier, then drop the ball. Each peg is an independent 50/50 bounce; after all the rows, the ball settles in a bucket and you're paid that bucket's multiplier. Nothing about the outcome is decided in advance beyond the provably fair seed that's committed before you drop — exactly the same binomial mechanic underlying every Plinko implementation, Stake's included.

Three inputs, one hash
Every drop runs through HMAC-SHA256 with a server seed Stake generates, a client seed you can set yourself, and a nonce that increments per bet — the same mechanism used across all Stake Originals, including Mines.
The server seed is committed first
Stake shows you a hash of the server seed before you drop — a fingerprint that locks in one exact seed, so the sequence of left/right bounces can't be chosen after the fact.
You reveal it to check
Rotating your seed pair in Settings → Fairness reveals the previous server seed. Re-run the same HMAC-SHA256 calculation and you get the same bounce sequence Stake used.

No — this calculator models BGaming's published Plinko table, and Stake runs its own distinct in-house numbers. Both are genuinely provably-fair binomial Plinko games targeting roughly the same ~99% RTP, but the exact multiplier on any specific bucket won't match one-for-one.
How many risk levels does Stake actually offer?
Four — Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert — rather than the Low/Medium/High convention used by BGaming and most competitors. Combined with 9 row options (8 through 16), that's 36 total combinations on Stake versus the 9 this calculator models.
How are the multipliers actually calculated?
The mechanics are the same binomial formula behind every Plinko table, whichever studio built it.
The formula
- Win chance for bucket k out of n rows is C(n,k) ÷ 2ⁿ — the fraction of all possible bounce sequences that land there.
- Fair multiplier is 1 ÷ that chance — the payout with zero house edge.
- Actual multiplier is the fair multiplier × the target RTP (≈0.99), which is where the edge gets applied.
Worked example — 8 rows, centre bucket
- Ways to land centre, C(8,4): 70 of 256 paths
- Win chance: 70 ÷ 256 = 27.34%
- Fair multiplier: 1 ÷ 0.2734 = 3.66×
- At the 99% convention: 3.66× × 0.99 = 3.62×
Can I use this calculator's numbers to predict a specific Stake result?
Not exactly — the calculator is accurate for the BGaming table it models, and directionally right about how Plinko math works in general, but Stake's own multiplier values differ from bucket to bucket. For exact Stake numbers, check the in-game paytable.
Is Stake's Plinko rigged?
The provably fair system exists specifically so you don't have to take that on trust — every drop's bounce sequence is reproducible from the server seed, client seed and nonce using public HMAC-SHA256 math. It doesn't change the built-in ~1% edge, which applies whether that particular drop wins or loses.
Why does my result feel different from the stated RTP?
RTP is a long-run average across thousands of drops, not a per-session guarantee. A handful of drops will always look nothing like the long-run number — that's what "edge" statistically means, not a promise about any one session.
Is there a best row/risk combination on Stake?
